Christmas Market in Cracow

The fair will take place at the Main Market Square in Cracow, in the very heart of the Old Town. It is one of the most beautiful and iconic locations in Poland, surrounded by the Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, and historic buildings, which create a unique festive atmosphere.

Handicrafts and Gifts – Over a hundred exhibitors from all over Poland and abroad (including Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Ukraine) offer Christmas decorations, ornaments, wreaths, nativity scenes, ceramics, jewelry, woolen textiles, and regional souvenirs. The market’s decor is a true winter spectacle: decorations made of live Christmas trees, garlands, and warm lighting—over 600 spruce trees illuminate the Main Market Square.

At the numerous wooden stalls, you’ll find local delicacies: grilled oscypek cheese, pierogi, traditional baked goods, cured meats, and Christmas sweets. There’s no shortage of mulled wine and aromatic spices, which go perfectly with the winter atmosphere.

The market also features a rich cultural program: caroling, Santa Claus parades, folk dances, and presentations of local traditions. One of the most unique attractions is the Cracow nativity scene—a miniature structure inspired by Cracow’s historic buildings, listed as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Cracow Christmas Market has gained international recognition—it was highlighted by CNN as one of the most interesting Christmas markets in the world.
